Every year for the past few years we have all gone to Seabreeze amusement park as a big family adventure. Leon’s dad treats and it is a blast. This year was really interesting because his dad isn’t speaking to me. It was really uncomfortable to try and speak to someone who, in front of my kids and others, ignores me as if I am not even there! It makes me feel so tiny and pathetic.
Why am I killing myself loving people who are incapable of loving me? I have spent my life loving people who just are not equipped to love me!
It was a difficult day which is changing things because he also ignored Leon and was pretty miserable. My kids wanted time with him and he was pretty disconnected from this group.
My heart is hurting and I am struggling with all of this!
